I was born
and raised in a small town, a Northern Louisiana landmark,
known as Monroe. Monroe is known for it’s quiet, Southern,
atmosphere; it’s like a town you want to raise your
children in, because of its quaintness.
I come from a background of musicians on both sides
of the family. My grandfather, Ray Wyles was a guitar picker
and singer for most of his life. He recorded music in the
middle of the century. My dad has played live music and
continues to do so until this very day, and will not stop
until the sun goes out.
I grew up playing trumpet in the marching bands in
high school and college. I began playing guitar when I was
around nine, but I didn’t get serious about playing
until I was around 13 or 14. My influences started with
Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin,
Pink Floyd, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Bella Flick,
The Chi-Lites, The Dave Matthews Band, Ozzy, Jack Johnson,
John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Maroon 5, just to name a few. I
am also influenced by of jazz, blues, classical, bluegrass,
fusion, or anything else that sounds good.
I’ve just always tried to live my life not
worrying or thinking about anything. Bad habits like that
are what kill us. I believe in Oneness, from the heart,
to the soul that extends to the end of the universe. I believe
that no one in this world is superior to anyone else. If
we could all see this, then one day there would be no fear,
which in turn would bring us no hate, anguish, anger, indiscretion,
prejudice, or inequality. Our diseases could be healed with
love. There is no good and no evil - only fear and love.
We are the makers of our destiny, creators of our dream,
and we must do what we can to protect them, which will allow
us to benefit from it for many years to come. My
first album “Thoughts of A TV Chair” will be
released sometime this summer. Thanks for reading this.
Have a good day.
